Greedy Tuscany - Cooking Lesson.
1st day
Arrival at the hotel by shuttle bus from Florence/Pisa airport or train station. In the afternoon, welcome-cocktail and check-in. Dinner with typical products and excellent Tuscan wines.
Presentation of the activities. Overnight.
2nd day “about Pasta and Ragoût”
Breakfast. Meeting with the Chef and first lesson about bases, hand-made pasta, vegetables and dishes’ preparation. Preparation of many local kinds of pasta (Tortelli pulled by hand with the pin and filled with potatoes, Ravioli with ricotta and spinach, Pici, Gnocchi, etc.) with different types of Ragout sauce (deer, wild boar, etc).
Lunch with the dishes cooked during the lesson (with the help of the Chef).
In the afternoon, the Leaning Tower, the Baptistry and the Cathedral, united in total harmony on the famous Piazza dei Miracoli of Pisa, will have our full attention during the visit with official guide. Lucca, the medieval city of narrow streets, old houses, many Romanesque churches and beautiful walls, wants to be discovered with a nice walk.
3rd day “about meat”
Breakfast. The Chef will explain cooking, storage and particularities of the famous "Chianina" meat, tender and juicy, delicious dish of our land of Tuscany.
Lunch with the dishes cooked during the lesson (with the help of the Chef).
In the afternoon, visit with a cheese tasting in the “Val di Cecina” for the third cooking class: “ The cheeses ”. You will taste different types of cheese from the Val di Cecina combined with honey, jams and mustards and Tuscan salami, all accompanied by three kinds of Tuscan wines.
Returning to the hotel and overnight.
4th day "about fish dishes".
Breakfast. The chef will explain the ways of cleaning, conservation and nutritional properties of sea, lake and river fish. Then, he will explain how to preapre typical Tuscan fish dishes (Cacciucco, Triglie alla Livornese, etc.). Lunch with dishes prepared during the lesson. In the afternoon, visit to the city of Livorno and to the Etruscan coast; then visit to a wine producer and tasting of wine and olive oil from the Etruscan coast.
Return to the hotel and overnight.
5th day “ Visit to the city of Florence“
Breakfast. Leaving for Florence: Art, culture, beauty, elegance. Let us discover together the extraordinary city of Dante, Michelangelo and Leonardo. By bus, via Highway, we will arrive in Florence. In the morning we will visit the city with the official guide: Piazzale Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, Baptistery, Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Piazza Santa Croce.
Lunch with typical tuscan products. Free afternoon in Florence with the possibility for other visits as: Marketplace Straw, etc. The entrance to the Gallery of Uffìzi Palazzo Pitti is not included. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel with a stop for dinner at a restaurant in the area. Dinner and overnight
6th day: “Good-bye”
Breakfast. Greetings and departure, with Pick Up ant the station of Pisa or Florence. We will organise a visit to the cities near Pisa for the customers who are leaving in the afternoon
